#44 #Scriptors100BestFilms #Kahaani
What happen when story, screenplay, direction, performances and editing all fall into right place? It results into a #Kahaani which not only holds your attention for next 120 minutes but also by the end of it generates a great urge to revisit those 120 minutes. #SujoyGhosh’s Kahaani is that masterpiece.
Vidya Bagchi (Played by #VidyaBalan) comes to mysterious city of Kolkata to find her missing husband Arnab Bagchi. But soon she get to know that there is no one named as Arnab Bagchi. This leads her to a journey where the line between truth and lie is almost difficult to distinguish. But when it ends, It shocks you as a viewer and make you think again and again.
The best thing about Kahaani is it’s screenplay. It’s engaging yet effortless. The detailing done by #AdvaitaKala and Sujoy is marvellous. The equally best thing is #VidyaBalan’s flawless performance. Not even a single false note. Not even a moment you think that she is not pregnant actually. Nawazuddin Siddqui is equally good in small role. The second best thing is the portrayal of the city of joy – Kolkata. So mystic and unique that you also feel like going there in search of something or better say anything.
If we enlist the best thriller and suspense movies made in India, Kahaani will definitely comes under top five. Thrillers usually do not have repeat quality but this is not the case with Kahaani. At least i can watch it over and over again. Highly recommended if you have missed it.
