Anarkali’s letters were a dynamite. They could bring the storm back in her life. Her mother knew of it. So took each of letters diligently and buried them. Anarkali also knew that none of her letters got through. But she continued to write them as long as she lived. Here a few more excerpts from her letters.

Sahib-e-Alam,

Halaq-e-kalam se utre iss katre mein, main apna dil dobokar bhej rahi hoon.

Afsos, Mughalon ke darbaar mein roshni soti nahi,

Aur maut ka pehra harsoon hota hai.

Buth bankar mili thi, buth bankar baithi hoon.

Aap toh Sahib-e-alam hain,

Aapki ek nazar toh sukhe patton ki nason mein bhi taazgi bharde.

Isse pehle ki iss nacheez ka badan dhool banjaaye,

Mujhpar apni nazar ki rahem kijiye.

Aapse milne ke intezaar mein.

Anarkali.

Khudah nigehbaan

(Translation)

In a drop of ink, down the throat of a pen, I am dipping my heart and sending out to you.

My anxious evenings will never find peaceful nights.

I burn out these royal lights all day long, just to run out of the oil and come meet you hiding under the deep layers of darkness.

Alas! The court of Mughal’s have lights that never sleep,

And death patrols everywhere.

I met you as a stone, and now I am reduced to one.

You are kamagra bestellen Sahib-e-Alam (the master of the world),

Your gaze can revive a dry leaf fallen from the tree.

Before my body reduces to dust, come, meet.

Looking forward to seeing you.

Your Anarkali

In the security of Allah.

Another  one.
