“Ye bambai hai mere bhai Bambai, Yahan buildinge banti hai cement ki aur insaano ke dil patthar ke” – This dialog from the movie Shree 420 which was released in 1955 still sounds like some one is saying somewhere in Lokhandwala of Andheri West. Directed by #RajKapoor, #Shree420 tells the journey of an innocent yet very ambitious young man #Raju played by #RajKapoor himself, who comes to Mumbai to become something. This journey leads him to class clash and then he have to save the human inside him.
Jwelled with fabulous music like “Pyaar hua, Ikraar hua hai” and ” Mud mud ke naa dekh”, Shree 420 is still considered as one of the most successful social sattire which is even more contemporary than before. It won Best Cinematography and Editing at #Filmafre Awards.
Due to the message of #Socialism in the end, this film made #RajKapoor a very popular figure in USSR, the communist Russia.
