#63 #Scriptors100BestFilms #EkDuujeKeLiye

#PostValentinesDay

The love is not about winning or loosing. Instead the whole language of love is completely opposite. In this whoever actually looks like a looser, remembered forever like a winner and whomsoever looks like a winner, looks like a looser. #EkDujeKeLiye is a landmark love-story of Indian cinema which tells us so much about love which was neither explored earlier and nor explored later.

Story of Vasu and Sapna who are the neighbours in Goa but belongs to families which are poles apart from each other. Even though they are not able to understand each others language, the language of love takes over their passion and eventually obsession for each other. This leads to a chaos and the ordeal for Sapna and Vasu that leads to an extremely tragic end.

Written and Directed by master of Tamil Cinema – K.Balacahndar, Ek Duuje Ke Liye gives two brights stars to Hindi Cinema – #KamalHassan and #RatiAgnihotri. Their performances as Vasu and Sapna was so real that the couples co-related so much to them that allegedly many couples committed suicide in Goa and Dauna-Paula gets another name as – Suicide Point in goa.

But the brilliance of this cinema lies in its direction and screenplay. Though we may found that it’s extremely dramatic at certain points, it still feel so real. The madness and craziness of lovers for each other which was shown in this film was one thing that I still miss in the love stories of present times. Whether its weird love makings or crazy outings, the cry and the longings, the passion and the defiance every thing has a craziness which lover of any generations can co-relate with.

The cloth washing scene between Vasu and Sapna, The first silent meetings, The first fight, The separation scene, the scene where Sapna burns the letters from Vasu and drinks it. All of them was just so unique that it makes this whole film as an experience which was never repeated again on screen.

I can’t finish this article without talking about the music of this film. Each and every song was a master piece and definitely it was the best work of #AnandBakshi. Do I need to mention the songs? Well that will be like telling you that whole album was a f%*king master piece. Sorry for this word but I m kinda speechless when I talk about the music of this film.

The climax of Ek Duje Ke Liye is definitely one of the most sad and tragic climaxes on Indian Screen. It disturbed me so much that I can still remember the sleepless nights I had after I have watched this film for the first time. Vasu and Sapna becomes a part of every person who ever loved truly.
